Requirements as a sitter at “The House and Pet Care”
The pet sitters at “The House and Pet Care” have a profound education in veterinary medicine and are experienced professionals in this field.
We require our sitters to have worked in veterinary medicine for several years. This ensures that we can apply medication correctly to the sick pets in our care, interpret their behavior correctly and act correctly and quickly in veterinary emergencies.
Your dog or cat will receive the attention from “The House and Pet Care” sitters that it deserves and that we (would) give our own pet on a daily basis.
Focus: State-approved, fundamental training
Our focus is on successfully completing state-certified training as a veterinary assistant. Not only the training is important to us, but also that our sitters have worked in this field for several years.
Preferably on the ward and/or in the reception area in veterinary clinics. However, working in veterinary practices offers the advantage that the veterinary assistants there act as first responders in an emergency and must also be able to recognize them quickly.
This ensures a basic understanding of (sick) pets and their worried owners.
Discretion: A small word – a big responsibility
The privacy and anonymity of our clients are just as important to us as the medically correct care and support of the pets entrusted to us.
That is why we, like veterinary clinics and veterinary practices, are committed to discretion and confidentiality with regard to the names, addresses, living habits and current family circumstances of our clients and their (sick) pets.
Due to the many years of experience and sound specialist knowledge in the field of veterinary medicine that our sitters bring with them, they are professionally trained in dealing with dogs and cats and recognizing their changes. This is the only way they can react quickly in a possible emergency.
As a dog or cat owner, you are therefore not paying for the period of your booking, but rather for the knowledge you have already acquired, its maintenance and further development.
